Noopur Choksi is a Visual Designer & Illustrator from India, currently based in Baltimore, USA. She studied Graphic Design at the National Institute of Design (NID) and is currently pursuing grad studies at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Her work is a reflection of her experimentation with typography, narratives, and image-making. She uses visualization to externalize the often intangible, energetic, emotional environments of her subjects. She gravitates towards stories that depict a surrealistic and intimate representation of human nature and is inspired by music, science, drag, fashion and narratives of feminine power. She strives to create visuals that challenge perception, push boundaries, and are not afraid to be strong, unapologetic and layered in their interpretations.
